Sports Leagues– The Phoenix is a member of the San Fernando Valley Private School League which guides our seasonal sports and assists in setting the game schedule with other private schools in both Simi Valley and the San Fernando Valley. League play is open to third through eighth grade students, by division. For students in 3rd-5th* practices are held after school, on campus, two days per week, and games are typically played one day per week at various sites*. Middle school students practice daily during seventh period. *Fifth grade students may practice during seventh period or after school as arranged by the coaches.
*Game Play – Games are played at various campuses across Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, and west San Fernando Valley. Volleyball and basketball games include our home field or court. Soccer and flag football games are all played off campus. All practices are on-site at The Phoenix Ranch or at local Verde Park (a short walking distance from our school). |
The Phoenix Ranch Athletic Program exists to provide our students an opportunity for participation in interscholastic athletics in an environment that encourages the achievement of athletic excellence. In addition, we promote core values that exemplify good sportsmanship and citizenship. We are committed to instilling in every student-athlete fundamental life-skills that are critical to living a productive and healthy lifestyle. We believe that in doing so we are preparing our student-athletes to reach their full potential as they continue to the next stage of their academic, athletic, and personal lives.
