Ranch Camp (1-5 Grade)
 
Camp fun begins with an all-camp opening, followed by four activity rotations. Campers can participate in one or all of the offerings in each rotation. We will top off the day with special events, stunts, or round-ups, and closing ceremonies.

Aquatics and Table Games Rotation

Swimming: Our swimming pool is under the supervision of our aquatic director and qualified lifeguards. Little Ranch also has water play.

Game Activities: A variety of table games are offered for children who do not want to swim.

The Arts and Go-Carts Rotation

Arts & Crafts: Campers create pottery, leather craft, lanyards, jewelry, masks, theme crafts, and more.

Performing Arts: Campers can participate in theater games, pantomime, and dance (see “Drama” option).

Go-Carts: Our go-cart track is fun and safe with carts equipped with seatbelts, crash bars, and helmets. Battery operated cars are used for Little Ranch.

Adventure, Archery, and Game Room Rotation

Game Room: Ping-pong, air hockey, and an air-conditioned room with board games, Game Cubes, and Wii games. A special game room for Little Ranch Camp is set up at Simi Hall.

Adventure and Archery: Campers enjoy the rock wall, water slide, and jousting arena plus target practice on our archery range. Little Ranch will have adapted or alternate activities that are age appropriate.

Sports Court Games: Play on the basketball and handball court, four-square and hop scotch.

Sports, Nature, and Gaga Rotation

Sports: Join our sports director for field sports and games.

Gaga: Campers will enjoy their favorite dodge ball pit game on our new gaga court.

Nature: Outdoor cooking, orienteering (compass and map reading), tent building, learn about knots and lashings. Sports and nature activities are modified for each age level.

Camp Flights: The following is a list of all optional trips offered this summer to campers in Ranch Camp (2nd–6th grade) and Teen Camp. Flights cost $25.00 per trip. Camp Flights are always on Wednesdays.

Swimming Lessons: Certified instructor (W.S.I) and advanced lifesavers teach pre-beginner/ beginner semi-private classes offered in 30 minute, 10-lesson packages. Cost is $130.00. Lessons take place in the afternoons between 2:00-3:30 P.M.

Junior Lifeguard Program: A special lifeguard training program for 5th and 6th grade campers. The three-week program includes conditioning and fundamentals of lifesaving. (M/W for intermediate swimmers, T/TH for advanced swimmers) 8-9:30 A.M. Cost is $75.00.

Extended Care: Additional morning extended care hours are available from 6:30-8:30 A.M. and in the afternoon from 3:00-6:30 P.M. Cost of extended care is $4.00 for morning care and $6.00 for evening care.

Camp General Store: Open after lunch and at the start of extended care: drinks, chips, candy, and other items are available. Item cost is $ .50 to $2.00. Camp T-shirts are also for sale for $15.00.

Camp Pictures: Pictures will be taken on Wednesdays at 9:00 A.M. as follows: Session I – June 30; Session II – July 21; Session III – August 11; Picture cost is $15.00 (single and group photo package).

Chuck Wagon: Campers may purchase a lunch on any camp day. The menu includes sub-sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza, KFC, and more. Lunch cost is $6.00 per meal, or purchase a 10-coupon lunch booklet for $50.00. Lunch is included in Little Ranch fee.
 
Drama Performance Option (Ranch Camp 3rd-6th Grade):
 

The Phoenix Ranch is presenting three special performances this summer. Third through sixth grade campers selecting the Drama Performance Option will participate in the Ranch Camp activities, and then attend special performance rehearsals from 2:00-3:30 P.M. This program is offered Wednesdays and Fridays each session. Campers may attend Flights and return for the program at 2:00 P.M. Cost is $45.00 per session.

Session I: June 23, 25, 30, July 2, 7 and 9 (Wednesdays and Fridays) Campers will perform on Friday, July 9 at 2:00 P.M.

Session II: July 14, 16, 21, 23, 28 and 30 (Wednesdays and Fridays) Campers will perform on Friday, July 30 at 2:00 P.M.

Session III: August 4, 6, 11, 13, 18 20 (Wednesdays and Fridays) Campers will perform on Friday, August 20 at 2:00 P.M.
