The Phoenix celebrated its twenty-seventh anniversary in 2009 and the administrators reflected upon the growth of The Phoenix Ranch School and Summer Day Camp. "Our success as a private school has been in large part the result of hard work from an outstanding faculty of qualified professional teachers and support staff," remarked school owners Mrs. Frances Alascano and Mrs. Amy Brown. "Our vision from the inception of this school was to address the whole child, include a community of support within the school, and provide academic challenge."

The school provides an outstanding educational opportunity for children ages 3 to 13. Preschool, kindergarten,elementary and middle school programs are presented using sound teaching methods as well as the most current epistemology.


In their effort to meet the needs of each child, appropriate faculty credentials and training was required. The teachers at the preschool have no less than a two-year college degree and many have a four-year (much above and beyond the State of California requirement). All teachers in kindergarten through eighth grade possess a California teaching credential, many with a master's degree in education. Faculty training is a commitment of the administration to keep The Phoenix Ranch School teachers aware of concerns as well as new trends and best practices in education. Planning time is built into the weekly schedule as well as monthly meetings with the director, coordinator, and principal at each level. For more information about our school click here

The Phoenix Ranch Summer Day Camp has also undergone an evolution of ideas and programming over the last twenty-seven years. Camp continues to thrive, maintain its American Camping Association Accreditation, and meet the recreational needs of children from 5 to 13. Last year the camp added a new climbing wall, a new agriculture area, and some new and exciting optional programs.

Ownership over twenty-seven years has given the administration the hindsight and ability to reflect and to better lead The Phoenix Ranch School and Summer Day Camp into the next decade of quality education and recreation for our children.

The Phoenix Ranch Day Camp, Come Join The Fun!
The Phoenix Ranch offers an exciting summer day camp for boys and girls ages 5 to 13. We are professionals in the field of recreation and have more than 30 years of experience in the camping industry.
We maintain a high level of excellence and are accredited by The American Camping Association.
We offer a ten-week camp from mid-June through August .
